Arrival and departure

The dive guide will take your passport. This is necessary in order to obtain the boat permission from the coast guard. All the passports will be stored together and if you like you can get your passport back right away. Departure flight and airport transfer will also be confirmed by the guide. You will spend the first and last night on board in the harbor.

Check-In: from 6pm on arrival day
Check-Out: 9am on departure day

Bull's-eye, library and clothes

Please make sure that the bull's-eyes are closed while the boat is moving. We have a little library in the salon, please feel free to browse. If you don't want to take your old books with you, we can find a reader. Please dress respectfully. We are in a Muslim country so no topless sunbathing please.

Food and drinks

We use bottled water to prepare salads, drinks and other food. You can enjoy everything on the Longimanus without worries.

Bottles: You have bottles of water in your mini bar, which are renewed every day. You can use the empty bottles to fill them with juice.

Water

The water comes out of the desalination plant on board and can be used for brushing your teeth but should not be consumed.

Health

Please make sure you always drink enough. 4-5 Liters per day is not too much if you are diving. Alcohol is strictly prohibited during dives. If you get seasick or have other problems please talk to the guide.

Towels

Every Monday the towels will be exchanged. If you need one earlier please let the guide know.

Bags and suitcases

We will store your bags if you like. Please empty them completely; it is difficult to reach them during the trip.

Cabins

For general safety reasons all the cabins are non smoking cabins. Also please don't charge phones or laptops unattended. For emergency the cabins are fitted with a fire extinguisher and life vests.

Medicine

We will have certain medicine on board. If you bring medicine on board please make sure it is suitable for diving.

Night dives

Night dives are strictly prohibited in the marine parks. If you like to charge your torch you can do that on the dive deck with the 220 V plugs.

O-rings

We take a choice of commonly used o-rings with us, if you need anything please ask the guide.

Smoking

You can smoke in open air except on the dive deck.

Telephone

For emergencies, while the boat is far from shore, the guide has a satellite phone. Normal cell phone connection is only possible close to shore.

Marine park fees

Brother Islands, Daedalus, Rocky, Zabargad, St. Johns and Ras Mohamed are Egyptian marine parks that require a certain fee. These fees will be paid on board at the end of the trip.

Currencies

The final payment must be completed on board. We only accept cash in the following currencies:
